Message from the North West Hampshire Immunisation Team

Your child’s annual flu vaccination is now due.

This vaccination programme is in place to help protect your child against flu. Flu can be an unpleasant illness and sometimes causes serious

complications. Vaccinating your child will also help protect more vulnerable friends and family by preventing the spread of flu.

The School Nurses are due to visit The Hurst on Thursday 8th October 2020.

Please read the letter from the NHS Trust and use the link below to access the online consent form.

No forms will be accepted after this date.

Should you have any issues, please can the Immunisation Team directly.

We hope that you have had an enjoyable summer. This is a reminder that school will be open tomorrow (Thursday) morning for students to collect their GCSE results.

Students should arrive at the following times:

Surnames A-D, 9am – 9:30am                    Surnames E-K, 9:30am – 10am

Surnames L-P, 10am – 10:30am                 Surnames Q-Z, 10:30am – 11am

We had hoped to hand out envelopes on the front field, but the recent rain has left it extremely soggy, and therefore we will move into the gym. Students should enter the school via the PE changing rooms entrance, where they will be able to access the gym through the one way system.

You will no doubt have seen lots of changing guidance in the news recently regarding exam results. I can confirm that tomorrow, students will receive their final grade, which will be a Centre Assessed Grade (CAG) or their exam board calculated grade, whichever is the higher.

I would also like to remind you that due to current circumstances, parents should not be on the school site tomorrow. Should you have any questions or queries regarding exams, please e-mail:

This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.

Please also continue to follow the government guidance and do not attend school if you or a member of your family has coronavirus symptoms.

We look forward to seeing the students tomorrow, albeit in very different circumstances!
