During December The Hurst collected food items to donate to the Basingstoke food bank in order to support people in the community.

Each day saw different tutor groups donating boxes of food. In the last week of term, our head boy and girl, together with Mr Jones, visited the Basingstoke food bank. They were given a tour around the food bank and got to observe the fantastic work they do for people who have suddenly hit financial problems.

Each Hurst box was weighed and our grand total was an immense 511kg, just over half a tonne! This is an achievement we all take pride in. Thank you to all the pupils and parents for all the donations and support, it was greatly appreciated.
