The Hurst library is a friendly and inviting place which welcomes all students.
We have a large range of fiction and non-fiction books as well as graphic novels, magazines and short stories. We also have a number of computers which can be used by students for studying and homework.
Due to the current situation, unfortunately the library is temporarily closed. However, we have recently invested in a new on-line library management system called Reading Cloud which can be accessed through Edu-link.
This system enables the students to see which books the library has in stock, reserve books, write book reviews and much more. We are also currently running a ‘Library Coming To You’ scheme where students can reserve books remotely and then receive the books via their tutor group.
Students may borrow the books for up to two weeks but can renew them should they wish.
Any ideas or suggestions for the library should be emailed to the Librarian, Mrs Yalden, at:
