Ofsted visited The Hurst earlier this month and I am delighted to inform you that we have once again been judged to be a ‘good’ school.

This Ofsted judgement is testament to the enormous commitment that pupils, parents, staff and governors have given over the past few years.

British Science Week

British Science Week - Recent Events at The Hurst


12th March - Year 5 Rocket Car Challenge - primary school pupils will be joining a team of science teachers to design and test the cars they build

14th March - Royal Instituion Science in Schools Show - Year 7 & 8

14th March - Evening Community Show (6-7pm)

All week - Bayer Design Lab Coat Competition - entries from KS3 pupils are being selected

Daily - House Science Competition - invovling a team from each of our four houses plus teachers held during assemblies

Daily - Science Question of the Day - first pupils to locate science staff at break time with the corret answers wins a small prize.

Treble Sporting Success!

Footballers in Years 8, 10 and Year 11 have all been crowned District Champions this season. The Year 8 side beat The Vyne 11-1, the Year 10 side beat Brighton Hill 4-0 and the Year 11 side beat Cranbourne 4-1 at the finals held at the Hampshire FA, Winklebury. Congratulations to all players involved!
