Be Inspired & Get Involved... Frequently we, the PE Team, are asked if we know of local clubs for certain sports, or you may be in a situation whereby you would like to continue participating in certain sports outside of the school programme.
Basingstoke and Deane Sports Council are a fantastic organisation and they have up to date information about local clubs, funding and scholarship available.
Please follow the link and information below to help you pursue your interest in sport.

At The Hurst, the PE department offer a broad range of team and individual curriculum based activities to allow our student to get the most out of their Key Stage 3 PE sessions.
Whilst enjoying and improving on their sporting abilities, they will develop an extensive knowledge of sports and exercise, learn how to lead a healthy lifestyle, whilst building confidence and learning how to evaluate their performance and that of others.
Within Key Stage 4, all pupils will continue to participate in Core PE, enjoying a variety of sports and activities in Years 10 and 11 and assisting them with their healthy lifestyle. We also offer two options for students following an academic route to choose from, GSCE Physical Education and BTEC Sport qualifications.
