Pupils develop a range of skills whilst studying the medieval period. They investigate all layers of society from the most famous kings to the poorest of peasants in both Great Britain and the wider world. We finish the year with an investigation of Native American life in the 1800's
Skills are further enhanced whilst looking at the Reformation period, the Stuart era and the Industrial Revolution. Pupils investigate conspiracies and murder, including famous mysteries such as the Gunpowder plot.
Pupils are encouraged to investigate more independantly through a series of history mysteries; Who was Jack the Ripper? Why did Titanic sink? Was the moon landing faked? This is followed by an in-depth study of the Twentieth Century.
