About the PE Department

Physical Education

139 Hurst

The PE department aims to promote a healthy active lifestyle through the enjoyment of sport and physical activity.  We strive to introduce and enhance pupils' experiences of both traditional and new physical activities, with the long term goal of excellence and a positive life long relationship with physical activity.

Extra-Curricular Opportunities

Sports - we offer a number of after school sports clubs including football, netball, badminton, dance as well as inter-school fixtures over the course of the year.

Annual Sportathon - pupils participate in 12 hours of sport overnight to raise money for charity.

Ski Trips - A vastly popular and oversubscribed trip that has seen the school alternate between Austria and the USA in the last 8 years.  The Austria trip normally visits Zell am See and KAprun, while the USA trip has been to New Hampshire, Colorado, Nevada and Vermont.

Enrichment Trips - We like to reward pupils for their excellence in PE by offering trips to places such as Thorpe Park during the summer term.  We have also attended international Cricket T20 matches at the Ageas Bowl over the last 2 years.
